HOW TO DESIGN A BETTER ADVERTISEMENT ART-WORK


Marketing can be daunting sometimes. Coming up with a catchy title and knowing what to write and how to write it can be a difficult task. We have compiled a list of the top 14 tips for creating a promotional advertisement. It doesn’t matter what line of business you are

in, these generic tips will hopefully benefit your business:

  1. Good title: make it attention grabbing, you only have a few seconds to grab a person’s attention!

  2. Have a main theme: what is the benefit of the advertisement

  3. Write exactly what you offer at the very start: a summary of main points

  4. Draw up a strategy to promote your advertisement : upload advertisement to your business facebook page, always consider your target market when drawing up a strategy.

  5. Promote your unique selling point: what you do better than competitors or what can you offer that no other business could.

  6. Ensure good professional design of the leaflet.

  7. Be clear and concise: Don’t write too much information and use words of excitement to draw the customer in

  8. Provide an incentive- eg. Discount voucher, promotion in-store.

  9. Write positively rather than negatively: eg. change 'I do not do'....to 'I do'.

  10. Put your contact details on the leaflet eg. Number, website, email, facebook page

  11. Include Images: this includes logo, products etc. Images can say more than words and make you want to buy a product or use a service.

  12. Have a call to action: log onto our website, spend £10 in-store and receive a free bag of crisp, discount lasts until...

  13. Check all spelling is correct, if necessary get someone else to check it.

  14. Readable font size is essential: no less than 10.
